Since attending university at Goldsmith’s College, University of London, Thomas has lived and worked in the capital in various roles across the city.
It wasn’t until going back on his teenage promise to never work with his parents, that he found a level of satisfaction with his job “I decided I wanted more than anything to spend my days doing something I really cared about” says Thomas. “The 15 year old in me would be horrified that I decided to join the family firm, but with the benefit of time you realise it’s more important to be engaged and care about what you are doing now, than to worry about what you thought ten years ago.”
As a result, having grown up with the business, he has a strong sense of design and what is achievable with glass. “I am ostensibly a sales representative, but apart from an inability to do the hard sell, my role actually encompasses a much fuller range of educational and consultative elements.” |
