DAVIA WALMSLEY

Davia is the driving force behind the business as co-director and creative head.

Educated at Hornsey College of Art in ceramics and glass, Davia moved through the UK building her skills and knowledge in glass art until settling on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire. It was here she met Chris and founded what would eventually become Daedalian Glass Design.

In those early days it was just Davia and 2 other people making stained glass and sandblast etchings, but it wouldn’t be long before Chris got involved as the company grew and needs beyond the purely artistic became apparent.

Davia has continued to expand her repertoire of glass design skills, travelling the world learning new techniques and styles in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and America; and even educating new generations of glass designers, in artistic retreats around the UK.

Today Davia uses the unique properties of glass to create outstanding and beautiful products and projects throughout the world.
